From sorting pajamas to hosting a drop-off site or organizing a collection drive, every effort helps bring good sleep for good to children in our community. Students can also get involved as ambassadors, leading the way for their peers.

At Pajama Jams, our mission is to bring comfort, dignity, and warmth to children in need by providing brand-new pajamas and the promise of a good night’s sleep.

As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in making this mission possible—whether by sorting donations, helping at events, or spreading the word in your community.

Host a Collection Event

Bring your community together by hosting a pajama drive in support of Pajama Jams. Whether at your workplace, school, church, or with friends and family, your event helps provide brand-new pajamas to children and teens in need.

We collect new pajamas in sizes 5T through Adult XXL, ensuring every child—from toddlers to teenagers—can experience the comfort and dignity of a peaceful night’s sleep.

Your collection is more than gathering pajamas—it’s a celebration of kindness and community spirit that helps us deliver good sleep for good to those who need it most.

Join Our Student Ambassador Program

Become a Pajama Jams Student Ambassador and lead the way in making a difference! As an ambassador, you’ll:

  • Spread awareness about Pajama Jams’ mission.

  • Inspire your peers to get involved.

  • Organize pajama collection drives at your school or in your community.

Volunteer Roles

There’s a role for everyone at Pajama Jams — whether you want to be hands-on at events, lead in your community, or support behind the scenes.

  • Help count, sort, and organize donated pajamas by size and gender to prepare them for distribution. Volunteers also assist with bundling pajama sets (tops and bottoms) and ensuring donations are neatly packed for delivery.

  • Support pajama distribution events by assisting with setup, and engaging directly with children as they pick out their pajamas. Volunteers help create a fun, welcoming, and dignified experience so that every child feels cared for and leaves with pajamas they’re excited to wear.

  • Transport collected pajamas from drop-off locations to Count & Sort sites or partner agencies. Volunteers should be able to lift and carry bags of donations and may use their own vehicle for transport.

Hands-On Volunteers

  • Provide a pajama collection spot at your business, school, or organization, and encourage your community to participate. Hosts are responsible for keeping bins tidy, monitoring donations, and coordinating drop-off at the end of the drive.

  • Lead peers in supporting Pajama Jams by promoting the mission on social media, at school, and through pajama drives. Ambassadors commit to representing Pajama Jams during the annual drive and inspiring others to join the cause.

Leadership Roles

  • Assist with thank-you notes, data entry, and coordinating volunteer communications. This role helps keep Pajama Jams organized and running smoothly behind the scenes.

  • Capture photos at events, create engaging content, and help spread awareness online. Volunteers may contribute posts, stories, or videos that highlight Pajama Jams’ mission and impact.
